The fourth year of the Tour of Croatia, which will take place between 17 and 22 April, once again brings the six-stage race on a route spanning more than 1000 kilometres throughout Croatia. This year's race will be even more demanding and has been classified in a higher category by the International Cycling Union (UCI) – 2. HC, with teams from the highest rank of classification.
The fifth or royal stage, which will pass through Rijeka, will run from Rabac to Poklon on Učka, which the cyclists will first reach from the Istrian, and then from the Kvarner side. The cyclists are expected to reach the Rijeka Korzo between 4 and 4:30 pm.
In addition to being one of the most important sports events of the year, the Tour of Croatia is also considered by many to be the most beautiful tourist postcard that Croatia sends into the world. For six days, footage from all over Croatia will be broadcast on over 170 different television stations in Europe, Northern and Southern America, Asia, Africa and Australia.
