International Carnival Parade

The International Carnival Parade is the main event of the Rijeka Carnival, featuring over a hundred carnival groups from Croatia and abroad marching through Korzo.
On that day, the keys to the City are handed back to the Mayor, thus ending the rule of the carnival-goers until next year and the next Carnival. The parade kicks off on Sunday, 23 February, at noon, taking over Korzo all day long before the Bell-Ringers, as the last carnival group, traditionally "fire up" Korzo with their chiming. After the parade, everyone will gather at the Adamić Pier, where the Mayor will receive the keys to the City, followed by the burning of the Pust effigy at the Rijeka Aquatorium, as directed by the Pom – F – Ri group. But the fun doesn't end there, as singing and dancing in costume continue far into the night at the final carnival party at Export Delta. If you are unable to come to Korzo, you can watch the live broadcast of the International Carnival Parade on Kanal Ri, as well as on the Rijeka Carnival official website.
